On January 1, 1951 Mr. Ebrahim Dahodwala founded Ebrahim &
Co (now BDO Ebrahim & Co.) in Karachi. The firm soon
acquired a reputation for delivering quality services and
became one of the most successful firms of the post
partition period. The firm was primarily involved in
delivering quality audit, taxation and corporate secretarial
services. |

|
In 1980 Mr. Qasim Causer joined
the firm as a partner after qualifying in the United Kingdom
and after serving in one of the then “Big 8” firms. The firm
adopted the state of the art audit approach and expanded the
services into areas of management consultancy. In 1982 the
firm became part of the BDO network becoming a full member
firm within the first few years of the relationship. The
firm adopted all the technical standards set by BDO for the
operation of the practice. In this context the partners and
staff have attended training conferences around the world to
become fully conversant with the practices and procedures in
the developed economies. |

The partners of the firm have a
clear strategy for achieving growth by providing quality
services to a very broad range of clients. A strategic plan
has been developed and launched to expand the physical
presence of the firm in all the major cities of the country
and to provide a full range of core and value added services
at each location. BDO Ebrahim & Co. boasts three locations
in the major cities of Pakistan with over 200 staff
providing services across the spectrum. |

With the
implementation of the world wide quality standards of BDO
and recognition of a sizable presence in the country, the
firm is indeed “Without Equal”. |
