Ebrahim
Dahodwala qualified in 1951 and established the firm in the same year.
|

He is principally responsible for providing
taxation consultancy services to the clients of the firm. He has vast
experience of advising on setting up of new businesses, financial
management and taxation planning.
|
|
|
|
|
He was the first President of the Institute
of Chartered Accountant of Pakistan (ICAP) from the profession, a position
always held previously by the Secretaries to the Federal Government of
Pakistan. He was also the first President of South Asian Federation of
Accountants from Pakistan.
This is a regional body representing the regulators of the profession in Pakistan, India,
Srilanka, Bangladesh
and Bhutan.
He also has been President of the Income Tax Bar Association, Karachi. He has had
the opportunity of having served as a member of International Accounting
Standards Committee.

He has been associated with the affairs of
the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Pakistan since its inception in
1961, and has been the Institute’s Vice President and Chairman of several committees
for a number of years. He has also been executive editor of the Pakistan
Accountant (Institute’s official journal).

He has represented Pakistan a number of times in
international forums like the CAPA Conferences and read papers on important
technical subjects in several seminars and conferences.

Qasim Causer qualified in 1977 in the United Kingdom and joined Ernst & Young
in London.
He worked for three years in the management cadre of the Audit and
Assurance Division.

He returned to Pakistan in 1980 and joined
Ebrahim & Co. (now BDO Ebrahim & Co.) as a partner. His presence
has been pivotal in establishment of the enviable Audit and Advisory
services practice.

In 1982, after becoming associated with BDO
International, the firm started offering management consultancy services.
The expertise was locally developed with the assistance of BDO
International, United
Kingdom. He has attended several
Regional and International Training seminars ranging from areas involving
Ethics and Code of Conduct of Practice, to Auditing in electronic data
processing environments.

In his 30 years of experience in practice,
he has advised a wide range of clients ranging from financial
instititutions to media companies. His depth of knowledge across all

Aslam Dossa qualified as a chartered
accountant in 1967, having completed his training with Ford Rhodes Robson
Morrow, Chartered Accountants, Karachi
(member firm of Ernst & Young); then worked in industry for two years
before going abroad. Whilst aboard, he qualified as a chartered management
accountant from England,
and as an associate member of the Institute of Canadian
Bankers.

Aslam’s travels first took him to London, England
where he worked with Coopers & Lybrand for two years as an Audit
Supervisor, before being seconded to Tanzania for six months. Upon
completing his secondment, he accepted a two year contract as Company
Secretary and Chief Accountant with a state owned mining and manufacturing
company in Tanzania.
He immigrated to Canada
in 1975, where he worked with the Federal Business Development Bank, for
four years on credit evaluation assignments.

Aslam Dossa returned to Pakistan in 1979, and held
senior management positions in the Aga Khan Development Network for 20
years, at social development projects, at a paper conversion plant and Director
Finance/ Company Secretary for a major group of hotels. In March 1999 he
accepted the position of Executive Director and also that of Director
Quality Control Review Program, at The Institute of Chartered Accountants
of Pakistan, (ICAP) which positions he held until May 2005. He was part of
the ICAP team for development of the Code of Corporate Governance adopted
by SEC Pakistan. He has been a visiting faculty at business schools in Karachi since 1993, and had the opportunity of being
Team Leader for the Pakistan
team to visit Brazil
in April 2001 on the Rotary International Group Study Exchange Program.

Abdul Qadeer qualified as a chartered
accountant in 1985 from Taseer Hadi Khalid & Co., Chartered
Accountants, Rawalpindi,
a member firm of KPMG International. He was a partner in Coopers &
Lybrand, chartered accountants and S. M. Masood & Co., chartered
accountants, before registration of his own proprietorship firm, Abdul
Qadeer & Co. This firm merged with Ebrahim & Co. (now BDO Ebrahim
& Co.) on July 01, 2006 at which time Abdul Qadeer become a partner in
the merged firm.

During his association with Coopers &
Lybrand he attended six weeks training course in London U.K carried out by
Coopers & Lybrand on Risk Management and Computerized Auditing.

He has been responsible for undertaking
audit and consultancy assignments both in industry and service sector, and
has been involved for over 18 years in the field of audit, taxation and
management consultancy.

Abdul Qadeer has conducted valuation
studies for privatization commission, Government of Pakistan for
privatization of Government Industrial Units.

He was an elected member of Northern
Committee for the period 1989-1997. He was also Chairman of Northern
Regional Committee, Institute of Chartered Accountants of Pakistan from
1994-95 to 1995-96. He remained member of other committees of the ICAP.

He has worked for more than 18 years with ABN Amro Bank. During his tenure of

and Dubai
on internal audit, communication skills and computer technology.
